Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the difference between an EMBA and a Traditional MBA?

An Executive MBA program differs from other kinds of MBA programs in the following ways: EMBAs continue to work while they study; they are also generally more experienced. EMBA students also enter as a group (or cohort) and remain with the same class throughout the course of the program. In addition, the EMBA programs usually offer additional support for students, including staff support, meals, and other amenities, so students with busy schedules can focus on learning.

The UA EMBA is a general management degree program.  This lock-step program is taught in an accelerated pace.  Students must have a minimum of five years of work experience. The full-time M.B.A. degree offered by the UA Manderson Graduate School of Business is a two-year program that offers seven concentrations.  The full-time M.B.A. program does not require an international study trip at this time.
