Sudheer had a great position at a company he enjoyed working at for over 15 years. While this might make him seem like an unlikely EMBA candidate, Sudheer saw this as an opportunity to reassess his current position and how the EMBA program would advance his career to the next level. Instead of feeling stuck in his position, pursuing his EMBA not only allowed Sudheer to understand a wider breadth of business operations, but also showed his upper management his passion to expand his role and learn new abilities. Sudheer shares, “To maximize my potential to grow up the management ladder, I wanted to be deemed as someone who could play a strategic role within my organization, not only tactical.”

Sudheer learned of the EMBA program at Alabama from his colleagues who shared of their learning experiences at the Capstone, and it was apparent from the beginning this would be an exceptional way to advance his career while still balancing work and family life. Based in Nashville, Sudheer saw the blended online/in-person class structure as a key part of what made the program attractive to him.

Beyond what was learned in the classroom, Sudheer observed a key takeaway from the program was the ability to maintain a work-life balance, along with utilizing time and prioritizing tasks most efficiently. As Sudheer’s career grew during and after acquiring his EMBA, he now approaches challenges with a deeper understanding of business as a whole from strategic decisions to economical budgeting to skillful leadership and ethics.
