Program

The Manderson Graduate School of Business has paused new admissions to the Executive MBA (EMBA) program as it evaluates national trends and evolving needs in graduate business education.

As working professionals increasingly seek flexible, online, and specialized pathways, Manderson is using this moment to reimagine offerings that better serve future leaders. The school is exploring new, industry-aligned programs for entry-level managers, mid-to-senior executives, and senior executive thought leaders. Potential programs include a Doctor of Business Administration, a redesigned Executive MBA, and an online MBA for working professionals—building on its nationally recognized MBA and specialized master’s degrees. Alumni will be engaged throughout this strategic development process.

Alabama's EMBA program was exactly what I needed at that point in my career. My professors opened my eyes to new opportunities for professional growth, and even guided me through the early stages of my career pivot. Within six months of completing the program, my salary had increased 50% and I was given larger, more complex projects within my organization. As an engineer, I lacked experience in reading financial statements. Management accounting was very beneficial to deal with both the company books and to prepare for what the bankers wanted to see.

My time in the EMBA program taught me so much about myself and helped me grow tremendously in my career. It was a challenging program that required commitment and discipline, but the benefits received have been exponential.

Spending time with and building relationships with people of similar or higher success levels in life gave me the exposure and drive for expanding my horizons.

The international trip opened my eyes to how the world works, beyond my small corner. Traveling with my cohort and experienced faculty provided the confidence and security to really explore a new world.
